The short version

The Hyperspace Codex is a crowdsourced record of human visionary experience. Log your own encounters, respect other people's rights, and don't use the Codex to sell AI-generated images. Everything below expands on that.

Artwork & AI policy

The Codex exists to honour what human travellers have actually seen and made. Our artwork rules follow from that founding principle.

Human-made artwork

Paintings, drawings, photographs and digital work created by you may be displayed, attached to reports and entities, and offered for sale or commission. You keep all rights and may revoke display at any time.

AI-assisted artwork — illustration only

Some experiences are almost impossible to render by hand. You may upload AI-assisted images (work where a generative AI tool contributed) for the sole purpose of illustrating a described experience. AI-assisted work:

  • · must be declared as AI-assisted when you upload it;
  • · is publicly labelled as AI-assisted;
  • · is not eligible for sale, commissions, promotion, entity cover-art, or the Vision Bearer badge.

AI-generated artwork is never monetisable

Fully AI-generated artwork is not eligible for monetisation in any form. Attempting to sell, link a storefront for, or otherwise commercialise AI-assisted or AI-generated images through the Codex is a violation of these terms and is grounds for removal and account action. This restriction is enforced technically as well as by policy.

Content you upload

  • · You must hold the rights to everything you upload. Attribution is not a licence — crediting a source does not grant you permission to republish it.
  • · By posting, you grant the Codex a non-exclusive licence to display your contribution as part of the archive. You retain ownership and can request removal.
  • · Reports are lived experience shared for education and harm-reduction. Don't impersonate others or post content that isn't yours to share.

Safety & disclaimer

The Codex documents non-ordinary states of consciousness for educational and harm-reduction purposes. Nothing here is medical, legal, or psychological advice. Substances discussed may be illegal in your jurisdiction and can carry serious risks. You are responsible for your own choices and safety.

Takedowns & contact

If you believe content infringes your rights, is undeclared AI work, or should be removed, contact us and we'll review it promptly. Use the contact form and select the relevant category.

Privacy: we store the email and messages you send us to respond to you, and use privacy-friendly analytics to understand traffic. We don't sell your data.
